This is a grant funded position for Strengthening Community College Training Grant听(SCC4).

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:听(A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)

  • Minimum of a bachelor鈥檚 degree is required; a master鈥檚 degree is preferred
  • Four (4) year鈥檚 work experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care; and two (2) years鈥 experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor / preceptor for student of such programs.
  • Must hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current unencumbered state license; community college teaching experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:听Employee must be able to perform the following essential functions to the satisfaction of the employee鈥檚 supervisor.

Program Director responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the overall respiratory care program activities with the Dean of Health Sciences.
  • Exercise leadership in the area of program oversight and curriculum maintenance. Have a broad understanding of the intricacies of the programs and its relationship to the local sending schools.
  • Communicate as needed with pertinent staff on campus.
  • Assist the program administrator in conducting periodic program review and maintaining appropriate assessment records. Review assessment activities periodically.
  • Mentor new faculty and provide feedback to the program evaluation process.
  • Responsible for hiring, orienting, mentoring, oversight, and evaluations of adjunct faculty
  • Assist the Dean with coordination of a schedule of course offerings and faculty assignments to meet the needs of the students. Evaluate student performance; meet regularly and confer with students regarding their progress in the program.
  • Oversee scheduling and student assignments to local clinical sites; maintain a relationship with staff at program clinical sites.
  • Provides oversight and management of the clinical lab functions to include safety; equipment maintenance, upgrades and acquisition; supply inventory management; orientation for faculty, students, and guests; maintain lab calendar and lab usage data/reports; maintain lab guidelines/policies/procedures.
  • Perform as a resource for all faculty during clinical lab use and simulations. Mentor faculty in use and development of clinical lab simulation.
  • Oversee and participate in events related to student recruitment and any other activities related to the respiratory care program and community outreach.
  • Participate in planning activities with the appropriate administrative offices as well as the advisory committee. Regularly meet with the advisory committee; a minimum of two times a year.
  • Participate in instructional institutional planning and budget processes; attend respiratory care program meetings and divisional meetings as scheduled.
  • Compliance with and meets standards for accreditation as outlined by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

Faculty responsibilities:

  • Teach thirty (30) semester credit hours (or the equivalent in lab, studio, clinical, etc. hours) each academic year and maintain 7 office hours per week (as approved) for the purpose of assisting students.
  • Conduct all classes in accordance with an established and current course syllabus, submitted following established guidelines each semester, and approved textbook (and/or related instructional material).
  • Maintain student/attendance/grade/discipline records as required by the College; keep appropriate course/department/program/division records, as required by the College.
  • Assist in conducting program review; plan, develop and implement activities in support of the Higher Learning Commission, or other agency, accreditation guidelines with regard to student academic achievement (assessment) and their success on outcomes (institutional effectiveness).
  • Communicate effectively in a professional, tactful and courteous manner with students, fellow听faculty and staff,听and the general public.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.

  • Serve on at least one institutional committee.
  • Marketing job board platform to designated pathways employers.
  • Work with Academic Affairs staff to determine current internships, job shadowing, and employer connections that will be beneficial to your designated pathways caseload.

  • Review, negotiation, and/or monitor all leases entered by the college; develop and present recommendations for annual renewal of leases.
  • Work with financial advisor and lending counsel on financing (general obligation bonds, lease purchases, revenue bonds, et al.).
  • Annually review interest and/or finance charges on credit cards and other credit accounts, renegotiate as applicable, and report table of rates to the President.
  • Represent the College as an active participant in organizations of chief financial officers of colleges and universities in Missouri.

This position is responsible for the administration and day-to-day operations of the US Department of Labor鈥檚 SCC4 grant activities, post award. The Project Manager-SCC4 will oversee the planning, development, and implementation of an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Respiratory Care program in collaboration with the Missouri Health Professions Consortium (MHPC).

The Project Manager-SSC4 will work closely with hospital partners, community organizations, and other industry stakeholders to establish registered apprenticeships, manage participant recruitment, and ensure effective grant administration and compliance. They will serve as a liaison with other departments as needed to carry out grant deliverables.

The Project Manager-SCC4 will collaborate with various departments on main campus and the Missouri Health Professions Consortium member campuses, to meet project goals. State wide travel is required.

This is a grant funded position.

EDUCATION and LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: (A comparable amount of training, education, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)

  • Completion of a minimum of a bachelor鈥檚 degree in a field of study related to Business, Education, or a technical discipline; master鈥檚 degree preferred

  • Coordinate with Web Services/Programming to create and SCC4 Grant webpage;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all external partners related to the grant;
  • Develop and execute a recruitment strategy to attract participants to the program;
  • Organize outreach activities, including informational sessions and community events;
  • Monitor and assess recruitment efforts to ensure targets are met;
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Department of Labor and other stakeholders;
  • Give presentations at various MHPC colleges, community, governmental and economic development functions;
  • Work closely with the evaluator of the grant, assisting with required research;

Student Workers

麻豆精品视频 students have the opportunity to participate in the College鈥檚 work study program.听 Students must be currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, submit a FAFSA form and qualify for financial need. Financial Aid will determine eligibility and inform the student if they qualify for the work study program.

Students can earn $12.00 – $12.50 an hour working on-campus or off-campus.听 The hours are flexible based on the students鈥 schedule and not to exceed 19.75 hours per week.
